Instant Pot One Serving Oatmeal

I was making oatmeal in a rice cooker, but realized that the teflon coating was getting scraped off.  Of course that meant I was eating it!  I opted for the Instant Pot because of the stainless steel pot.  I really wasn’t thinking about making one serving of oatmeal in a 6 quart container.  Then I devised this hack:

Make a strip of aluminum foil about 1 1/4″ wide, folded over about 6 times.  Fold over the top of the wire rack and staple down.

Put 2 cups of water in the main pot, and set your bowl, on the rack, inside the pot.  select porridge setting.

Yes, it takes about a 1/2 hour. But 30 seconds of prep, push a button and you don’t have to think about stirring or burning.  I go back to drinking my tea.
